This one is for all the texture and colour lovers. It is a painting that calls out to be touched! The under-layer of paint was applied thick with grooves running across the square and these give the finished painting an energy of movement and vitality. The colours are bold and energising, with some beautiful colour mixing work by Max. He named it 'Sunset' which I absolutely love and indeed since I put it up on our wall I sit or stand on our stairway and gaze at it for a long time, as you do a beautiful sunset sky.
