As always, I adore the titles of this duo of paintings.
Painting Walks
There is clearly an element of motion in them as we follow the sweeping path around the bright patchwork. It calls to mind for me the idea of each step we take forward we bring a little of the previous step with us to the next. The building of a journey, without a beginning or an end, but of a flow that comes back to itself and around it goes again. 
 
I find them very contemplative, very meditative. 
It also made me think of my own continuous line artworks and if maybe Max watching my doing them inspired this in some way? Who knows. But they are wonderful.
