I wasn't expecting the heart. I wasn't expecting the word he wrote. He's never written in his paintings before! That butterfly wing brush sweep of happy yellow! Wonderful.
 
Our Max endure so much with his Tourettes; pain, exhaustion, frustration, confusion. Yet dring some of his worst weeks of tics he was able to paint this. I'm in awe of him.
